The speed of you internet connection affects the quality of broadband home telephone service. In general, a minimum of 88 kbps upload speed from your Cable or ADSL internet connection is required for a good quality call. If your Internet service provider is SHAW, you can test your Internet speed at http://speedtest.shaw.ca. You can also test your Internet speed at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. If the upload rate is below 88 kbps, the voice quality of your telephone call may be degraded. If the measured upload speed is much lower than specified maximum upload speed of the internet package you subscribed, we suggest you consulting your Internet service provider for improvement as soon as possible.
